A NOTE FROM YOUR

EXECUTIVE TEAM

We have had another exciting month at RiverBend Country Club, and I want to thank each of you for your continued support and patience as we move through this important season of growth and renovation.

Clubhouse Update

The clubhouse renovation continues to make great progress, and we are excited to see more of the finishing details taking shape.

On the exterior, all painting has been completed other than the columns. The new concrete cart path has been poured in front of the clubhouse, and the new front entrance door and all other exterior doors have been installed.

Inside, we expect the HVAC work to be completed next week. Once that is finished, crews will begin the interior trim work. Tile has already been installed in the downstairs restrooms and outdoor shower, and work has begun on the upstairs restrooms.
The kitchen is also moving forward. The new hood has been installed, and the flooring will be the next major step. Once the floors are complete, we will be able to begin moving the kitchen equipment into place.
It is exciting to see the clubhouse coming together, and we appreciate everyone’s continued patience and support as we work through these important final stages.

Club Operations

Our Annual Stockholders Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 12. Hors d’oeuvres will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 6:00 p.m. This will be an important opportunity to provide updates, discuss the future of the club, and prepare for RiverBend’s next chapter.

RiverBend continues to grow, and we have now reach our goal of 300 members. This growth is a reflection of the welcoming community our members have created and the excitement surrounding the future of our club.

I would like to personally welcome all of our new members and families to RiverBend Country Club. We are grateful that you have chosen to be part of our community, and we look forward to helping you feel at home at the club.

Thank You for Your Support

There is a great deal happening at RiverBend, and I am proud of the progress being made both on the renovation and throughout our daily operations.

Thank you to our Board, committees, staff, stockholders, and entire membership for your patience, involvement, and continued support. I am excited about what lies ahead and honored to serve as your General Manager.

July was a great month at the club, with several awesome tournaments and plenty of memorable days on the course. We appreciate everyone who came out and helped make it such a successful month. We’re excited for what August has in store and look forward to another great month of golf.

As we move deeper into the late summer season, we are transitioning into a drier stretch of weather. During this time, you may notice our team working on irrigation leaks and making necessary repairs throughout the course. Keeping our irrigation system operating at its best is critical as we work through the challenges of summer weather and maintain consistent playing conditions.

Our grass heights of cut (HOC) will remain consistent throughout the month as we continue to focus on providing the quality playing surfaces our members expect.

You may also notice some discoloration in select areas of the course. This is a result of our ongoing efforts to manage some stubborn late-summer grassy weeds. Some temporary discoloration can occur as we target these weeds, but these applications are an important part of our overall turf management program and will help improve the health and appearance of the course moving forward.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue working behind the scenes to provide the best possible conditions. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing everyone out on the course this August.

What a month! We had a full schedule of exciting events, and the participation was incredible.

The Fourth of July Scramble kicked things off with 84 players. Sterling and Riley Smith, Brian McBay, and Alan Dennis claimed first place in the Championship Flight. Mark and Monica Bozeman teamed up with Nick and Joe Bozeman to win the First Flight, while Paul and Lauren Neese, Kyle Clark, and Bob Tuttle took the Second Flight.

Next up was the annual Gerry Fanning Ladies Invitational, where several of our ladies played some great golf. Sherri Rambo, Tami Beal, Anna Clanton, and Demtra Clanton placed third in the Championship Flight. Lauren Neese, Monica Bozeman, Mary Joe Cartwright, and Joan Collins won the First Flight, with Marcia Everett placing third in that flight. Linda Wells and her team took first place in the Fourth Flight, while Riley Smith, Bailey Dickens, Rachel Stacey, and Bailey Carkuff finished third. It was an awesome event and a wonderful way to honor Mrs. Fanning.

The following weekend brought us the always-fun Parent-Child Championship. Tony and Anna Clanton won the Adult Division Championship Flight, while Larry and Ashton Hardison won the First Flight.

In the youth divisions, Bauer and Sterling Smith won the 4-year-old division. Sutton and Greyson Painter took the 5–6-year-old division, and Emma and Greyson Painter won the 8-year-old division. Anna and Rob Marsh won the 10-year-old division, Brooks and Todd Bobo claimed the 11–12-year-old division, and Gage and WG Miller wrapped things up with a win in the 13–14-year-old division.

Looking ahead, the Goose Chase is set for August 15–16 and already has an incredible 164 participants. Next on the agenda is the ever popular Junior Ryder Cup August 22-23. The Celebration Shootout will close out the month on August 30.

We truly appreciate the support you have shown all of our events this year. Thank you for choosing RiverBend Country Club—we know you had a choice!

Have a great August!
