EXECUTIVE TEAM

We have had another exciting month at RiverBend Country Club, and I want to thank each of you for your continued support and patience as we move through this important season of growth and renovation.

Clubhouse Update

The clubhouse continues to make great progress, and it is truly starting to come together. On the exterior, the siding has been completed, most of the painting is finished, and crews have started painting the handrails and hanging exterior lights. We also completed new concrete work between the clubhouse and pool area, which will serve as both a cart staging area and a walkway to the pool.

In addition, several major infrastructure items have been completed outside the clubhouse, including new gas lines, new water lines, the main water and gas lines running out to the road, and the installation of our new grease trap.

Inside the clubhouse, drywall work is being finished, and in the coming weeks you will begin to see more of the final interior details take shape. We are very excited about how everything is looking and grateful for the progress that continues to be made.

Club Operations

July is shaping up to be one of our busiest and most exciting months of the year. We will celebrate Independence Day with our annual Fourth of July Scramble, pool party, and fireworks, which is always one of my favorite times of the year at the club.

We also have a full calendar of events, including trivia, live music during dinner on Friday, July 17, our Couples Member-Guest, and our largest golf event of the year, the Founders Member-Guest Championship, at the end of the month.

There is a lot happening around RiverBend, and we are excited to see so many members and families enjoying the club. I also want to welcome all of our new members to RiverBend Country Club. We are grateful to have you as part of our community

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during aeration week. Because of your support, our grounds team was able to complete several important projects that will benefit the course throughout the remainder of the golf season.

During the closure, the team completed DryJect aeration and ninja tining on the greens, power raked the fairways, repaired several irrigation leaks, and applied post-emergent herbicides to help address lingering broadleaf weeds and crabgrass. These practices are essential to improving turf health, playability, and overall course conditions.

Over the next several weeks, our focus will be on helping the greens and fairways recover and return to peak playing condition as we move through the rest of the golf season. On behalf of myself and the entire grounds crew, thank you again for your continued patience, support, and appreciation of the work that goes into maintaining your golf course.These applications provide the nutrients necessary to promote strong growth and help the turf withstand the demands of golf play and the challenges of summer weather. As a result, members can expect continued improvement in both turf quality and consistency throughout the season.

June was another outstanding month of golf at RiverBend Country Club. Our ladies’ events were a major highlight, including the Ladies Member-Member Championship and the Ladies Member-Guest, both of which featured great competition and strong participation.

July will be another exciting month for golf. We begin with the Fourth of July Scramble, followed by Night Golf, the Gerry Fanning Invitational, the Parent-Child Championship, the Couples Member-Guest, and finally the Founders Member-Guest Championship. The Founders Member-Guest is once again sold out with a waiting list, which speaks to the tremendous support of our membership.
